Nathan's Patience is a Detroit-based pop-punk / alternative rock band fronted by Nathan Mazur, a musician whose story is as compelling as the music he makes.
After a decade spent touring the country in the early 2000s — sharing stages with Bad Religion, New Found Glory, Good Charlotte, Yellowcard, NOFX, and more, playing every date of the 2002 Vans Warped Tour, and headlining sold-out shows of 800-plus — Mazur stepped away from music to build a business and raise his four sons. For over twenty years, the songs stayed quiet. Then, in 2025, he came back….with a vengeance.
Nathan’s Patience made its official debut on September 2, 2025 with the three-song EP The Thoughts We Can’t Tell — a raw, melodic, and deeply personal collection of songs built around the words we struggle to say out loud. The EP surpassed 50,000 streams on Spotify in its first few months after release, a remarkable milestone for an independent band re-entering a crowded digital landscape. Their early 2026 single “That’s Me,” released January 27th, arrived with equal momentum, delivering a self-assured anthem about identity and accountability and reached 10,000 streams within just its first month.
Rooted in the emotional urgency of early 2000s pop-punk and shaped by two decades of real-world experience, Nathan’s Patience blends punchy guitar riffs, melodic hooks, layered harmonies, and driving percussion into songs that hit hard and linger. Their sound feels both nostalgic and bracingly fresh — the kind of music that reminds you why you fell in love with guitar-driven rock in the first place.
What initially started as an individual project for Mazur soon became a full band with producer and multi-instrumentalist John Kowaleski handling drums, Chris Doerr and Randy Schroeder taking on guitar duties, and Craig Dominiak rounding out the lineup on bass guitar.
On March 22, 2026, they took the stage for their live debut at The Sanctuary in Hamtramck, Michigan, opening for Hellcat Records recording artist Crazy and the Brains.
With additional single releases on the map for late 2026/early 2027, their debut full-length record release also planned for 2027, and a growing international fan base that spans generations and genres, Nathan’s Patience is building something real. Every track released so far carries the weight of lived experience along with the energy of a band that has everything to say, and the patience to say it right this time.
Detroit has always rewarded resilience. Nathan’s Patience is proof.
