Yesterday we put some final touches on the two new songs before we start the mixing and mastering phase, and a big part of those final touches was adding some background vocals by my sons. Of all the great experiences I’ve had writing and recording music again, yesterday was the greatest of them all. Having my kids with me in the studio was beyond amazing. Watching them work up the courage to sing, and then seeing their confidence boost and their excitement skyrocket while they sang, and then heard their voices in the mix was an emotional and extremely proud moment for me…. Not just in music, but in my life. My heart is so full today.
